Lincolnshire documentary wedding photography at St Martin's Church, Ancaster & a DIY garden wedding - Hattie & Dane
Hattie & Dane booked me for a half day to photograph their wedding at St Martin’s Church in Ancaster, with the reception being in their parent’s garden, just up the road. I met Hattie at the very end of the ‘getting ready’ part at her parent’s house before we headed to the church for a beautiful church ceremony, whilst Jamie, who was second shooting, went straight to the church to capture Dane and some of the guests arriving. St Martin’s Church has a lovely amount of natural light coming in through the windows, churches can often be very dark and quite gloomy but this one wasn’t at all!
The wedding reception was then completely DIY in Hattie’s parent’s garden. They’d put up a marquee, hired a bar and caterers, decorated the marquee themselves, it was beautiful. Hattie had been collecting different glasses for all the guests to have a different one to take home with them, such a lovely idea. We snapped away throughout the ceremony, two confetti throws (one at the church and one at the house), drinks/canopes and speeches until the guests sat down to eat and we ended our coverage there. Here are a few of my faves from the half day.
