Nottinghamshire wedding photography at Belton Woods - Sinead & Sam

The lovely couple Sinead and Sam had their wedding day at Belton Woods Hotel, near Grantham. This wedding venue is just outside of the town of Grantham, so it’s well located for guests coming from London, Lincoln and the rest of the Midlands.

I started my photography coverage with Sinead at the hotel for prep with her bridesmaids, sister (with brand new tiny baby!) and their mum. It was a beautifully relaxed morning, they were all ready nice and early so they had plenty of time to have a drink together in the room before the ceremony. This can make such a difference to your experience, if you’re rushing around trying to get the final pieces together in the last few minutes before the ceremony it can be pretty stressful for you! Sinead had the most chilled morning, it was a dream! Steve (who was second shooting) started at the hotel to capture Sam and the guests starting to arrive.

Sinead and Sam’s wedding was in the lovely Hawthorne Suite. The hotel itself is pretty large but with the Hawthorn Suite you get a separate bar area that leads into the main room so it feels like you have a whole private venue separate from the rest of the hotel. This is perfect for later on in the evening, when some guests can be engulfed in the party atmosphere and others can mingle and chat just outside in the bar, where there’s plenty of seating.
