London wedding photography at Chelsea Town Hall and The Swan at the Globe - Ceri & Kieron, day one
Ceri & Kieron booked me for their beautiful wedding, spread out over two days in May 2023. The Friday started with bridal prep at Beaverbrook Town House Hotel with Ceri & her best friends, whist a second photographer (Matthew Hall) captured groom prep with Keiron, followed by an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall with their immediate family. Beaverbrook Town House is a stunning place to get ready, it’s just around the corner from Chelsea Town Hall at Sloane Square so the perfect location for Chelsea Town Hall prep. It’s just lovely inside, all of the rooms are named after London Theatres, the Garrick Suite was an Art Deco dream! A quick taxi to the Town Hall and we were there in 6/7 minutes. It could even be walked in 15 but it is your wedding day so save those feet for dancing later! During the ceremony their friends waited outside ready to chuck confetti at the newlyweds and drink champagne on the steps.
We went for a little walk around the local area to do a few photographs of Ceri and Kieron together whilst their guests made their way to the stunning Swan at the Globe where they had a relaxed meal to celebrate. I hopped on the tube whilst Ceri & Kieron nipped back to Beaverbrook Town House Hotel to get changed (so Ceri could save her wedding dress for the following day), which gave me time to get there in plenty of time before they arrived. The room above the pub was beautiful with gorgeous views of St Paul’s and the city. I captured some documentary shots to capture the atmosphere before their meal then left them to it, ready to join them for the full wedding celebration the following day at the Camberwell Arms.
