Lincolnshire documentary wedding photography at Scrivelsby Walled Garden - Rosie & Sarah
At this beautiful, colourful wedding, the two lovely brides Rosie & Sarah exchanged vows in the picture-perfect Scrivelsby Walled Garden near Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
Rosie got ready at the venue’s cottage, Lion Gate Lodge, opposite the walled garden, whilst Sarah got ready at her parents’ house near Lincoln. The brides made sure they were ready nice and early so they could meet outside the cottage before the ceremony and see each other before their guests did. Apologies in advance for the overshare of photos, it was a beautiful moment! Sarah and her Dad walked down the aisle first (after her bridesmaids) and waited for Rosie to enter with her brother (following her bridesmaids). The bridesmaids all wore different shades of purple, it was all incredibly photogenic!
The ceremony was a beautiful celebrant led one by the amazing Bex the Celebrant. Celebrant weddings are personalised to the couple, Rosie & Sarah’s even featured a singalong - you would’t get that at a registry office!
They kept their guests very well entertained. Adults and children alike got fully involved in the garden games, which made for some really fun and colourful documentary photographs. I highly recommend having garden games if your venue is outdoorsy! Limbo, bouncy hopper races and flamingo hoopla are all really fun and make sure your guests are full of smiles.
Other highlights included a wonderful first dance followed by ‘musical hour’, songs from musicals being played, which the guests immersed themselves in, especially their talented dancer friends!
