Destination wedding photography - a relaxed family wedding at The Priory, France - Jessica & Michael

Jessica and Michael booked me to come to their absolutely beautiful, relaxed family destination wedding in Pressigny, France in June. This was a very exciting enquiry for me as I love travel and a wedding abroad was the perfect reason to go somewhere that I’d never been to before (I’ve been to France but not this specific place). Their wedding was a family only wedding at a beautiful B&B in a tiny village called Pressigny, not too far from Poitiers (not to be confused with another French place called Pressigny).

They had around 20 guests and the whole atmosphere was just so beautifully relaxed and such a wonderful celebration. The wedding was on the Monday, and the family stayed for the rest of the week to continue with celebrating and holidaying before heading home. How perfect is that?

The venue was just stunning for a small wedding. Secluded and very beautiful. The local church backs into the garden of the B&B, and made the most beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony. They said their vows in the garden, dined outdoors, danced in a separate beautiful garden and some even went for a swim later in the evening.

I brought Scott along to second shoot (and drive!) and we stayed for the rest of the week after the wedding to have a little holiday and visit some friends who live close by.

Thank you so much to Jessica, Michael and their gorgeous daughter Poppy for inviting us along, it was incredible to be a part of your beautiful day. Here are some of my favourite shots from their day.
