Lincolnshire documentary wedding photography at Stockwith Mill - Sam & Carl
Sam and Carl had an absolutely stunning day at Stockwith Mill with their nearest and dearest in September 2023. They both have children so it was a truly lovely day that celebrated bringing their two families together. Sam’s twin sons walked her down the aisle, which must have been such a proud moment for her, and Carl’s two children were incredibly adorable, his daughter did a beautiful reading during the ceremony whilst his son waited at the bottom of the aisle with him before Sam’s arrival.
Sam got ready at a nearby cottage with her bridesmaids and her mum so I joined them there for part of the prep, and Scott met Carl at the venue to document the time before the ceremony.
It was a hot day, so they were absolute troopers for marrying in the sunshine, all dressed up in their wedding attire, and the sun treated us with a beautiful golden hour so we got some striking sunset photos of the two of them in in the Stockwith Mill grounds. It’s actually pretty rare to get perfect golden hour light on a wedding day that doesn’t interfere with other things on your schedule. Often it’ll look like it’s going to happen and then clouds appear from nowhere blocking it, or the sunset can’t reach the grounds due to buildings/trees around, or it happens during the first dance, so we were very lucky.
I loved working at Stockwith Mill and they have since asked me to be on their recommended suppliers list, which is amazing and I’m very grateful for!
