Nottinghamshire wedding photography at Swancar Farm Country House - Jenny & Luke

Jenny & Luke’s gorgeous winter wedding was my first wedding of 2023 at the start of February at the fabulous Swancar Farm Country House. This stunning wedding venue is in Trowell on the outskirts of Nottingham. I’ve photographed weddings on numerous occasions at this venue but this is the first time I’ve blogged any as most of the time I was second shooting with other photographers (apart from my first time here, which was quite a few years ago now!).

Jenny & Luke were the loveliest couple and their daughter Nia was just adorable and was the star of the show!

I started with Jenny and her bridesmaids in the gorgeous bridal suite at Swancar Farm whilst Scott met Luke in the lobby when guests started to arrive, and we continued to shoot the day documentary style from there. There was a really fun atmosphere in the ceremony room, it was clear that Jenny & Luke are a well loved couple and their guests were really happy to be there.

With it being a winter wedding we went outside and got some extra couples portraits in the evening by the beautiful outdoor fairy lights. In the summertime it doesn’t get dark until late so by the time the sun has fully gone down you are usually full swing into party mode so it just isn’t as convenient to do outdoor shots without dragging you away from your party. So these are far better in the winter to add some extra pizzazz to your wedding gallery.

A huge thank you to Jenny & Luke for having us photograph your lovely winter wedding!
