Winter wedding ceremony at Elsham Hall - Sophie & Matthew
Sophie and Matthew were only a couple of weeks off their dream wedding in April 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic swept the UK and the whole country went into lockdown (for the first time!).
They managed to postpone to 2021 but then later on decided to bring forward their official ceremony and still get married in front of just their closest family & friends within the restrictions.
I was absolutely delighted to be able to photograph their official ceremony in December, after such a long time without any weddings at all, I felt all fuzzy inside on the morning of their day and so excited to photograph an official marriage!
With the circumstances and Lincolnshire being put into tier 4 in December so certain venues remaining closed, Sophie & Matthew’s winter wedding ended up being not only my first, but also my last wedding of the year, so it really was a special one. I’m looking forward to photographing their full wedding day with all of their friends and family.
Elsham Hall was a beautiful venue and really well suited for the intimate ceremony. The original wedding ceremony was going to be in the main room but as the numbers were only allowed to be 15 maximum, due to the government guidelines, they had swapped the ceremony to a more intimate room, which looked so warm and cosy on the winter afternoon. This also means when Sophie & Matt have their full wedding day with their friends and family all present, they can say their vows in a different room having two different wedding experiences.
The suppliers involved were:
Venue: Bride Beautiful at Elsham Hall
Dress: Scarlett Poppy
Bridal shoes: Ted Baker
Flowers: Sophie made the bouquets herself!
Videographer: Ben at Beed Videography
I’m delighted to share a few of my favourite photographs from the day.
