Family session at the Lincolnshire coast
We decided on a coastal session for the Barlows' family photographs. The time of year meant it shouldn't be busy and we went for early morning for the best light.
On a previous day I went to visit the Barlows at their home and helped to choose some outfits for them to wear. We decided on the brown bear t-shirt with navy corduroys for Jesse and a denim blue dress for Lisa. These are neutral, earthy colours that go well together without clashing with each other or the surroundings.
Jesse came to say hello.
We met at a secluded area along the coast. Although we had a few spots of rain on the way there the overcast weather was a photographer's dream, making for dramatic skies. The rain even held off until the drive home (then it poured!).
It's hard not to have lots of fun when two-and-a-half year old Jesse is around! We splashed in puddles, played with bubbles, looked for the gruffalo (and had a few tears too). Here are some of my favourite images that document a fun morning with the Barlows.
