London wedding photography at Orleans House Gallery & Bingham Riverhouse - Jen & Phil

Jen & Phil had a beautiful London winter wedding back in February. Their ceremony was at the STUNNING Orleans House Gallery. This is the second wedding ceremony I’ve photographed at Orleans House Gallery and it’s possibly the most beautiful venue I’ve shot at. I’m absolutely not a photographer who judges a venue or wedding by its aesthetics (I had a registry office & village hall wedding myself) but this ceremony venue is just pure beauty. The room has huge windows which the natural light oozes in through, you’d never even know it was a dreary winter day outside so it’s perfect in the winter as well as the summer.

I started my day with Jen and her crew at her mum’s house, whilst Scott started at Orleans House Gallery to photograph the pre ceremony goings on with Phil and co. Even if you don’t want the second prep covered it’s still great to have a second photographer to capture the general atmosphere before the ceremony, which wouldn’t have been possible if I was working on my own (it’s often a mad dash from prep to the start of the ceremony for me).

After the ceremony there was a drinks reception at Orleans House Gallery before we moved onto Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond for the rest of the day and party. We did a few quick portraits with Jen & Phil inside Orleans House Gallery once the guests had moved on as it was raining outside.

I loved the whole atmosphere of Jen & Phil’s lovely wedding. They kept the ceremony and reception part relatively small, and then more than doubled their numbers in the evening and made it into one big party. The DJ started playing as the evening guests began to arrive but Jen & Phil decided to have their first dance quite late so they could get a chance to chat/party with their guests first, as there were a lot of extras coming. A fab idea if you ask me! I don’t limit my weddings to a set number of hours so having your first dance a bit later doesn’t mean I’ll miss it.

Bingham Riverhouse was also a wonderful venue for the reception and party. Even though it was winter (and drizzly) we could still spend time outdoors as they have a large covered terrace and outdoor heaters and furniture.

Thank you so much to Jen & Phil for trusting us to document your day. Here are some of my favourites from the gorgeous winter wedding.
