I was honoured to photograph Hannah and Andy’s wedding at Wentbridge House Hotel in North Yorkshire. I used to work with Hannah’s twin sister, Cerys, about 15 (ish?) years previous at Pizza Hut. We remained Facebook friends and I was thrilled when Cerys messaged me to enquire about being Hannah’s wedding photographer! My photography was Cerys’ wedding gift to Hannah, how lovely!

I joined Hannah with her bridesmaids (including Cerys!) at the hotel in the morning to capture photographs of them all getting ready together. Second photographer, Nisha met with Andy and his groomsmen just a few doors down at the hotel. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the August bank holiday sunshine (apparently it can be sunny on bank holidays after all), followed by the most emotional speeches, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. There was a very important person missing from the room and it was really felt in the atmosphere during the speeches.

Since the wedding Cerys has got engaged herself so Hannah has booked me to be Cerys’ wedding photographer - how sweet and what a beautiful sisterly bond they must have to give each other such a valuable gift (I don’t mean me(!), but wedding photography is so personal and important).
